ADM won the UK government’s cloud services framework procurement for the 4th time

For the fourth time, our managed cloud division, ADM Cloudtech, won the British government’s cloud services framework procurement in two categories and was once again added to the national database. This enables the company to bid for the UK’s national cloud service procurements.

ADM Cloudtech bid for the procurement in two categories – cloud service hosting and support services – and they were awarded a RM1557.13 Framework Contract for these two lots. Cloudtech decided not to apply for the Cloud software lot.

“We participated in the British government’s cloud services framework procurement for the fourth time, and we won all categories that we applied for. Winning this procurement strengthens our solid status in the United Kingdom and outside of Estonia even further,” said the CEO of ADM Cloudtech, Klemens Arro.

The Government Cloud First policy, which was introduced by the UK’s government in 2013, makes it mandatory for all public sector organisations who are procuring IT services to first evaluate public cloud services before considering any other options. To simplify the procurement process, the government organises framework procurements that all qualifying service providers can participate in.

“Since we also involve various partners in our more substantial international projects, then winning the procurement also has a noticeable impact on our partner network,” Arro said.

The cloud services programme UK Government G-Cloud, introduced in 2012, aims to make it easier to organise IT procurements related to cloud computing for the governmental bodies of the UK. To achieve this, framework procurements are organised where the companies who make the winning bids are all added to the Digital Marketplace database, an environment that the UK’s public sector organisation can use to procure cloud computing services.

ADM Cloudtech, which belongs to the ADM group, founded in 1997, specialises in Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure cloud technologies. Our clients are well-known international organisations, such as Hewlett-Packard, Bosch & Siemens Home Appliances Group (B/S/H), Amnesty International UK, G4S, Coop, Swedbank, Amserv Group, SK ID Solutions and various state institutions.
