Parking
Overview
The www.parkimine.ee website is the only one of its kind in Estonia, allowing drivers to pay for parking services.
The differences between it and mobile parking are:
- via the web you can purchase a parking permit for 1 day or a longer period; and
- via the web you can also purchase a parking permit for the city centre of Tallinn.
There is also significant added value for users: only via www.parkimine.ee is it possible to make the most of substantial discounts and special offers.
For example, 1 day in the Rotermann car park at a discount of ca 500%! (€1.60 instead of €9.95).
Via the website users can:
- find out where carparks are located and what their terms of use are;
- pay for their parking;
- purchase a parking permit for residents of the city centre of Tallinn; and
- view and manage their permits and parking fines.
What also makes the service unique is the ‘electronic parking permit’, which means there is no need for a paper-based ticket or permit.
Searching for carparks and buying tickets can be done without needing to authenticate your identity. However, access to parking permit and fine information requires authentication via a bank link or using an ID card.
Values
The values of the environment are:
- access to major special offers (discounts of up to 200-500%);
- diverse and convenient provision of parking information;
- convenient opportunity to pay for parking services;
- overview of the user’s parking permits and fines;
- users are kept up to date with temporary and permanent changes to parking conditions; and
- the database of towns and cities is being constantly updated.
Goals
To provide people with a convenient channel for parking information and to make paying for parking services as simple as possible.
